Celebration of Chisholm Trail Woodworkers' One-Year Anniversary • Happy birthday to our club, we have had a productive inaugural year. • At the end of 2023 we have 57 members in good standing • Kevin thanked Shepherd's Valley for providing the new venue. 2. Kevin emphasized the importance of diligence and safety while working with tools 3. Youth group partnership • Jerry shared information about the partnership with a specific youth group in the church. This may give us opportunities for demonstrations and mentorships. 4. Facility Tour • We had a tour of the facility • Some areas were locked, but access was gained with the help of a member who contacted the appropriate personnel • Visit to the youth room where a stage needs to be built. Rick will lead the efforts to get this designed and build 5. Show and Tell • Gary showcased Blue Spruce chisels • Tim showed of a pair of corn hole boards • Jerry displayed an intarsia wreath. He gave insight into the methods that he used to get the pieces to line up and the overall process of Intasia. • Cliff exhibited a toy truck • Jerry demonstrated a pen turning press and explained how easy it is to build • Kevin showcased auto trim refinishing techniques • Susan showed some bowls and pens that she had done and discussed the methods that she used to finish them.
